2nd Kup Theory

Belt colour

Black Belt is the opposite of white. Therefore signifying maturity and proficiency in Taekwon-Do. It also indicates the wearer’s imperviousness to darkness and fear.

Striking tool: Heel base - Dwit kumchi

  • Twisting kick - Bituro chagi

  • That you can handle a grading with the length, pressure, and pace of a black belt grading

  • That you know your theory including deeper aspects of Taekwon-Do and its meaning

  • That your mental attitude is on the same wavelength as expected for a black belt

  • That you know and demonstrate the five tenets of Taekwon-Do

Patterns

Hwa Rang

Hwa Rang is named after the Hwa Rang Youth Group, which originated in the Silla Dynasty in the early 7th century.
